Peter has his PhD from the University of Edinburgh in Practical Theology – which is a fancy way of saying he cares, like many people do, about how the church engages in cultural and social issues from a biblical and historical basis. He’s taught Bible and theology for over 20 years at various Christian universities, was a long-time host at Faith Radio, covered the Minnesota Timberwolves as a media member for over a decade, and is a “spiritual mutt” who grew up Catholic and has ministered in several Protestant denominations. He loves his family (Hallie, Caleb, Lydia, Anna, Avi, Samuel, Simon), golf, good theater, Scotland, peanut butter cups, and nearly anything that tips over the line into heresy.

Anna is a barista, bookseller, Bible study teacher, and podcast host on Deeper Magic and Before the Dawn. Having trained under Rabbis for thirteen years and extensively studied the Hebrew language and Bible, she’s passionate about digging into the heart of Scripture and making biblical study available to everyone. She started Deeper Magic and Before the Dawn with her dad, Peter, to create space for people like her: people who couldn’t find a home in the church but still wanted faith community and conversation. Above all, Anna works to cultivate a place where people who find themselves on the outskirts for any reason can ask questions, express grief and joy, and know deeply that they are beloved.

Logan was born to talk for a living. Communication has been in his blood since his first Christmas pageant, when, at 5 years old, after the play had ended, he walked up to the mic and started talking. About what? No one really knew. He certainly didn't know. But he knew he wanted to speak into that microphone. In his career, he’s been a radio host, producer, writer, award-winning filmmaker, voice actor, camp counselor, and most importantly, zamboni driver.  Outside of work, his hobbies include singing, playing soccer, snowboarding, weightlifting, DND, playing piano, and generally having too many events on his calendar. Oh, and he has more than 20 songs ready to rip at karaoke night. He’s been lovingly referred to as, "What happens when you give the Energizer Bunny a RedBull.”

Lilli does not have her PhD, or even her Master’s degree, but she does have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature & Writing, and yes, she is that girl who is still dreaming about running away to the English countryside after she spent one (magical) summer there. While she now works in social media marketing at an advertising agency in Minneapolis, she got her start in non-profit communications – specifically, faith-based non-profits and church work. She leads worship at her local church, and despite all of the micro-deconstructing she’s done since her Christian college days, she still clings to the way of Jesus as her light. She loves her little family (husband, Korey, and cat, Marshmallow) and her big community (hi, friends!), reading, yoga, live music, good wine, and finding a reason to laugh every day.
